Rated 5 out of 5

NW Softwash did a great job on our composite roof last year so we used them to power wash our concrete and softwash our pavers to get the accumulation of moss & mold off. Marshall and Canaan did a great job be careful of our landscaping and going the extra effort to hit a few other spots and they drained there equipment and retouch a small section of our roof where the moss was returning. Very pleased.

Our Portland Roof Cleaning Process

1. Look over the roof. We check the roof surface and buildup before cleaning.

2. Clean and treat the roof. Our usual service includes soft brushing, blowing off debris and low-pressure treatment for moss and algae. A treatment-only quote excludes brushing and debris blow-off.

3. Clean up and explain the results. We collect fallen debris around your home. Attached moss can remain after the visit and gradually weathers away with wind and rain over the following months.

In our experience, most homes go 2–3 years between roof treatments. Heavy shade or overhanging trees may call for treatment sooner. Your roof cleaning includes our 1-year green-free guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions

See our most popular questions and answers below for Roof Cleaning

Do you clean tile roofs as well as shingles?

Yes. Asphalt shingle and tile roofs are central to our roof-cleaning work. We don't clean cedar or metal roofs.

Will all the moss be gone on the day of the cleaning?

Not necessarily. We clear loose debris during the visit, but treated moss that is still attached needs time to dry out and weather away.

How often should a roof be cleaned?

It depends on the roof and its surroundings. Shade, nearby trees and debris buildup all matter. Keep an eye on your roof and contact us when you notice moss or algae returning.

Does the treatment stop moss from returning forever?

No. Our roof cleaning comes with a 1-year green-free guarantee. Treatment addresses existing growth and helps slow regrowth, and regular checks and debris removal still help care for your roof.

Can you quote the roof and the rest of the house together?

Yes. We also offer house washing, gutter cleaning, concrete cleaning and exterior window cleaning. Tell us what you need and we'll put the quote together.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent communication and scheduling throughout the entire process. Both Ford and Isiah were professional, customer-focused, informative, and highly knowledgeable about the roof cleaning service and what to expect afterward.

They took the time to explain that while the moss has been successfully treated and is now dead, it will remain on the roof until it naturally loosens and falls away. After the first few rains, the remaining moss will begin to disappear on its own.

I highly recommend this company based on the quality of their work, their attention to detail, and the exceptional care and service provided by their employees.
