Our usual roof cleaning includes soft brushing, blowing off debris and low-pressure treatment. A treatment-only quote covers the treatment without brushing or debris blow-off. We’ll explain the scope before you decide.

Some attached moss can remain after the visit. Once treated, it dries out and gradually releases with wind and rain over the following months.

NW Softwash did a great job on our composite roof last year so we used them to power wash our concrete and softwash our pavers to get the accumulation of moss & mold off. Marshall and Canaan did a great job be careful of our landscaping and going the extra effort to hit a few other spots and they drained there equipment and retouch a small section of our roof where the moss was returning. Very pleased.

First, we look over the roof. We check the surface and buildup, then lightly sweep and clear loose moss and debris where appropriate.

Next, we apply the treatment. A low-pressure application targets the moss and algae on the roof. We don’t use high-pressure washing on asphalt shingles.

Yes. Asphalt shingle and tile roofs are central to our roof-cleaning work. We don't clean cedar or metal roofs.

Will all the moss be gone on the day of the cleaning?

Not necessarily. We clear loose debris during the visit, but treated moss that is still attached needs time to dry out and weather away.

How often should a roof be cleaned?

It depends on the roof and its surroundings. Shade, nearby trees and debris buildup all matter. Keep an eye on your roof and contact us when you notice moss or algae returning.

Does the treatment stop moss from returning forever?
